About 200 people gathered last week at the Sebastopol Rialto Theater to watch a newly released documentary called Children of the Vine, a "real-life horror film" about pesticide use, especially RoundUp/glyphosate in the North Bay. Napa director and filmmaker, Brian Lila joined a panel discussion following the film which included Duskie Estes from Farm to Pantry, Darek Trowbridge from Old World Winery, and moderated by Megan Kaun from Sonoma Safe Ag Safe Schools.
The Press Democrat ("Filmmaker Calls for Nontoxic Farming" and "Has the Rise in RoundUp in Wine Country Made it Toxic?") and Sonoma County Gazette ("Children of the Vine Documentary is a Real Life Horror Flick") Gazette reported out on the event.
